Family businesses remain one of the main drivers of the Polish economy, but a report presented at the International Family Business Summit reveals a significant strategic gap. As Krzysztof Muryn, Deputy Director of the PKO BP Private Banking Center, points out, many businesses are now well-prepared operationally, compete effectively, and deliver high-quality products and services. The problem, however, arises when the question arises: what's next? "Only about 15% of the companies participating in the survey declare they have any kind of succession plan," Muryn emphasizes. Although family foundations are increasingly securing assets, the future of the business itself remains largely unaddressed. This is a challenge that could determine the longevity of companies built over generations.
